Protocol (2013) amending Social Security Agreement (2007)
SUPPLEMENTARY AGREEMENT AMENDING THE AGREEMENT ON SOCIAL SECURITY BETWEEN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND THE CZECH REPUBLIC
The United States of America and the Czech Republic, (hereinafter referred to as “the Contracting States”),
Having considered the Agreement on Social Security between the United States of America and the Czech Republic, signed September 7, 2007 (hereinafter referred to as the “Agreement”), and
Having recognized the need to clarify a provision of the Agreement,
Have agreed as follows:
Article 2, paragraph 1, subparagraph (b) of the Agreement shall be replaced by the following:
“(b) as regards the Czech Republic, to
the Pension Insurance Act and related acts,
the Social Insurance Contribution and State Employment Policy Premium Act and related acts, and
as regards Part II of the Agreement, the Act on Public Health Insurance.”
This Supplementary Agreement shall enter into force on the first day of the first month following the month in which the Contracting States inform each other by written notification that all necessary statutory and constitutional requirements for the entry into force of this Supplementary Agreement have been fulfilled.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the undersigned, being duly authorized thereto, have signed this Supplementary Agreement.
Signed and completed in Prague on September 23, 2013 in duplicate in the English and Czech Republic languages, the two texts being equally authentic.
